Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Bet With Bagan ("we", "us") collects on betwithbagan.com, how we use it and the choices you have. We collect as little as we can to run the site.
What we collect
Email address, if you sign up. If you join the email list, we collect your email address and any optional details you enter in the signup form. We use Mailchimp to store the list and send emails. Mailchimp processes that data on our behalf under its own privacy policy.
Aggregate site analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. It is cookieless. It does not use cookies or local storage to track you, does not build a profile of you and does not follow you across other websites. It collects basic, aggregated information such as page views, referring sites, country and browser type.
Standard server logs. Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. These logs are used for security and operations, not marketing.
Local storage on your device
When you confirm you are 21 or older, we save that confirmation in your browser's localStorage so you are not asked on every visit. That is the only thing we store there. It stays on your device, and we do not read it for any other purpose. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
How we use your information
- To send the emails you signed up for, such as picks, recaps and site updates
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it
- To keep the site secure and working
- To meet legal obligations
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We do not give your email address to sportsbooks or affiliate partners.
Sportsbook links
If you click a link to a sportsbook, you leave our site. The sportsbook's own privacy policy applies from that point. When affiliate links go live, the sportsbook or affiliate network may record that you arrived from our site. See our affiliate disclosure.
Future accounts and payments
Picks are free right now. When paid tiers launch, we plan to use Clerk for accounts and sign-in and Stripe for payments. At that point we will collect what is needed to run your account, such as your name, email and login details. Stripe will process payment details directly. We will not store full card numbers on our servers. We will update this policy before those features go live.
How long we keep information
We keep your email address while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we stop sending emails and remove or suppress your address within a reasonable time, except where we must keep a record to honor the unsubscribe.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom of it.
- Ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your information by contacting us.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law. We will honor them as required.
Age
The site is for people 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you think a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reputable service providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the "updated" date above. If a change is significant, we will make reasonable efforts to let subscribers know.
